About

Maximilian Hemmerle

Founder & private jeweller at MXHM, Munich. Fifth-generation jeweller. Grandson of René Sim Lacaze, the Place Vendôme designer who drew for Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Boivin, Sterlé and Harry Winston – and for Grace Kelly and the Duchess of Windsor.

Founder of RENÉSIM, Europe's first online luxury jeweller. Specialist in important diamonds, rare coloured gemstones and bespoke fine jewellery. Based in Munich, working with clients worldwide.

1837

The family story begins in Hanau, Germany's historic goldsmith town. Later, the Gebrüder Hemmerle workshop in Munich serves the Bavarian royal court.

Place Vendôme

His grandfather René Sim Lacaze becomes one of the most influential jewellery designers of his era, drawing for the great Parisian houses for over three decades.

Today

After building RENÉSIM and learning the gemstone trade from the inside, Maximilian returned to where the family started: a small atelier, rare stones, and clients he knows by name.

A note on the name

MXHM is an independent Munich maison founded by Maximilian Hemmerle. It is not affiliated with the jewellery house Hemmerle, with which it shares family roots but no business ties.
