MXHM´s fine antique jewelry collection
2020 MXHM debuted on the HIGHLIGHTS International art fair from October 22.-25th
with a distinguished mix of antique and vintage jewelry and a few modern special high jewelry pieces designed by Maximilian Hemmerle.
By adding a mix of antique and fine vintage jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Sterlé, Cartier, Harry Winston, Boivin and Hemmerle to our portfolio we created a carefully curated collection of special pieces manufactured in Europe during the most important time of the haute joaillerie.
Our selection also offers original drawings and gouaches by my grandfather René Sim Lacaze who was the Chefdesigner of Van Cleef & Arpels from 1922. Together with René Puissant he was the head of artistic and creative design at Van Cleef & Arpels for 13 years. His talent and ingenuity was in part responsible for some of their famous pieces of jewellery including the zipper necklace, the Ludo bracelet and so many of the "Serti Mysterieux" (invisible-setting) pieces.
Later from 1945 until the late 1970ies he had his own design atelier at Place Vendome, Paris working for all major high jewelers like the above-mentioned, crowned heads like the Duchess of Windsor, Farah Diba or Grace Kelly and VIPs before he started his second career as a well known aquarelle painter.
The wonderful value preserving antique treasures are the latest addition to MXHM´s young and laid-back luxury approach. With these unique pieces of astonishing design- and craftmanship, full sustainability and century lasting quality we are able to show you our DNA in its full historic wealth.
